I want to thank everyone on the PTO and the volunteers throughout this school year who helped make RMS a better place. I also want to inform you of how your contributions have helped.

We had a tremendous school year! We managed to accomplish many great things together. A recap of some of the goodness we spread in the school year 07-08 was: We supported the Media class, donated funds to the Science Department so all the science teachers were educated on their new software package. Provided the winners of the
History Fair with gift certificates. We funded an extremely active Accelerated Reader Program. Donated pizzas for the ESOL Night. Sent teachers and staff to a Developmental Conference. In Addition, contributed $1000 to the Band for their rehers-a-thon.

We had 3 teacher appreciation days. One which was entirely donated by Chef
Neil and 2 that were prepared by JP Taravella High School Pro Start program. In addition,
there were many parents who baked or brought in delicious sweets to show their appreciation for our fine staff.

With the help of Mary and Terrence Glynn, we helped raise over $4,000 for school beautification. I would also like to thank the numerous volunteers that showed up to help on special days such as picture day, vision or hearing screening, reading lab, yearbook sales, book fair, t-shirts, concession stand, gift wrap, Bounce, Bop and Boogie...the list goes on. We also have wonderful parents that volunteer on a regular basis in the copy room and reading lab. When our parents volunteer it is a great way to enhance our schools as well as be an example for our children who will need a minimum or 40 volunteer hours in high school. Children learn best by example.

I always say if everyone does one thing what unbelievable things we would accomplish. If you've done something to help the school this year thank you, if not, hopefully you can next year...I will be moving on to HS but you have a fabulous and dedicated PTO lined up for next year:

Christine Emond -President
Jill Waroff- Vice President
Denise Regolisio-Secretary
Kelly Chernicky-Treasurer
Wanda Nieves-Asst. Treasurer

Don't forget to clip Box Tops all summer long and send them in next school year in an envelope marked "Mr. Nista." If everyone collected 10 Box Tops the school would get $1300 for doing nothing...happy cutting...

Thank you for all your support this year...it is obvious it had made a tremendous difference.

Have a healthy and happy summer,
Janine Musumeci
